Parents

Parents play a vital role in Pack 890. The greatest support you can give your Scout is to be actively involved with their Cub Scouting journey, whether that’s helping with activities at den meetings, cheering them on at pack meetings, or joining in on Scouting events. Your participation is the key to a successful and meaningful Cub Scouting experience!

Cub Scouts doesn’t just rely on leaders, it thrives on parent involvement. Pack 890 is run entirely by volunteers, and every parent has a part to play. Volunteers help plan activities, organize events, and guide our Scouts through new adventures. For your child to participate in the Pack, each family is expected to contribute time by filling a volunteer role. We know families are busy, so we offer many different opportunities with a variety of time commitments to fit your schedule.

By volunteering, you set a powerful example of Scouting’s principle of service to others. You’ll have the chance to positively impact not only your child’s life, but also their friends and fellow Scouts. Even better, Scouting isn’t just for kids, many parents discover new interests, rekindle old hobbies, and build friendships within our Pack community.

Now is the perfect time to create unforgettable memories with your Scout. Together, let’s make their Cub Scouting adventure one they’ll never forget!
